🎙️ Podcast Summary — “Processing Code”

In this deep and thought-provoking episode, Tombo Baldwin explores the hidden “processing code” running underneath our lives—the core beliefs, assumptions, and “therefore statements” that quietly shape our reality without us even realizing it.

What if the limits in your life aren’t actual limits… but conclusions you accepted years ago?

Tombo breaks down how our experiences, upbringing, religion, media, relationships, and even casual phrases can become deeply rooted belief systems that automatically determine our expectations and outcomes. Those internal “therefores” become the operating system behind:

  • fear,
  • scarcity,
  • pain,
  • self-doubt,
  • and what we believe is possible.

But this episode isn’t about staying trapped there.

It’s about learning how to:

  • interrupt old programming,
  • question inherited beliefs,
  • quiet the default mode network,
  • and begin exercising what Tombo calls our “divine muscles.”

From discussions about miracles, imagination, and faith… to authenticity, metacognition, near-death experiences, abundance, and the power of language, this episode challenges listeners to honestly examine the stories and assumptions they’ve accepted as truth.

At the center of the conversation is a powerful realization:

👉 Your brain automatically filters reality through what it already believes.

And if you want a different future…
you may need different core beliefs.

Tombo shares personal stories about family, scarcity, spirituality, relationships, and his own evolving search for authenticity and truth—making this one of the most vulnerable and reflective episodes yet.

This episode is ultimately about:

  • living intentionally,
  • reconnecting with meaning and purpose,
  • and learning how to access a more hopeful, compassionate, and expansive way of living.

Oh man, feeling good today, yeah? That toothache? Well, it went away in that past reality now. Oh yeah, oh yeah, good, good, good news. Hey, you know the stuff I talk about, it actually works. Yeah, yeah, yep, yep. I know, you're just like, Tom, it's kind of out there. It's definitely out there, and that is what we're going to talk about today. The barrier that really keeps us from engaging this. Now, it does take some effort, and it does take some, I don't necessarily like the word, and I don't know that it's the best descriptive word, but it does take some practice. And so, when we want to live in that best reality now, we are exercising some divine muscles that we haven't necessarily used. We are exercising belief outside our comfort system. We are really exercising our imagination. We are really exercising the muscle that operates in contradiction to the default mode network. That network that just takes our experiences and everything that we've had before and makes a conclusion based on that. We're exercising the muscle of belief in a future. And so, today, what we're going to talk about, and I don't know if this is an accurate description or not, it's kind of what I came up, and there's some different terminology that I've used around it, but it's the therefore. And it is basically the belief system that we've developed growing up in. And whatever that belief system is for you, for me, it was like around spirituality and stuff like that is when I became a teenager, I became a quote unquote modern day Christian, which I would say that I'm not anymore that. But in the early years, it was more, we didn't go to church. We were the cartoons on Sunday family. Dad took us out for donuts and we wrestled in the morning. And then Dad worked on projects in the afternoon on Sunday and Saturday. And so, my belief system really, in those early years, revolved around superstition, such as those things that, you know, kids talk about, step on a crack, break your mother's back, you know, break a mirror, seven years bad luck, that kind of thing. And so, I am this weird mix of belief systems. And as I'm coming in to my adult years, yes, the 60s, my adult years, too funny. No, I've been an adult for a long time. But maturity and growth continues as it does for all of us seeking meaning and purpose. And so, I'm realizing that I have a very definite set of beliefs that are translated through those different experiences, through those different teachings, whether intentional or not intentional, that I have adopted as truth. And so, I'm looking at that and I'm always, one of the things about me is that I'm looking for authenticity and to be authentic as possible all the time. So, I'm always trying, searching, manifesting that authentic Tom. But part of that authentic Tom is that desire for truth and I'm willing to change any belief for truth. And so, that is a lot of what has been going on. And so, those statements in my life, and I use this phrase because it's kind of a joking phrase, but I say, I'm trying to think of a good example and I'm wavering, but the gist of it is that water is not solid, therefore, nobody can walk on it. And those therefore statements that come from our core belief and you're just like, well, it's true, scientifically proven that we can't walk on water, but there is historical evidence through Jesus that somebody did walk on water. And so, those therefore statements, they come in our lives around, let's just say some things like that I've recently went through with my tooth. It's once the tooth gets inflamed, then it's acting up. It's like, oh, you got a cavity and you got an infection, so therefore, you either need a root canal or you need the tooth extracted because based on my belief system, there's only two options. And so, reality can only fall into two probable outcomes because I have a therefore or I have this firm construction belief system. And you're like, well, Tom, basically everybody has that. Well, that is where it comes in when you add one more thing, belief in miracles or that you can change reality. Our reality is fluid and we can change that through the divine giftings that we have. And so, one of the things I had addressed before I could get there is develop some different core beliefs. And one of those was that reality is fluid and that it can change. And one of my definitions I was talking to Adrian about this other day, and I may do an entire podcast on this, but you know what a miracle is? A miracle is when you remember that reality shifted. I believe that reality shifts all the time. I believe the miracle is when we remember that we asked for it and we remember like my tooth when I was fighting for that new reality, literally fighting. And it's funny because you use the word fight, but really the fighting entails keeping peace, using the imagination, having faith, not letting the default mode network take over. And so, what's really intriguing when I thought about this, I'm one person and I have all these unique experiences and I've developed all this unique belief system that there are so many of us out there and we all have that to a certain degree. Now, the scary thing and the common denominator is that we watch TV and we watch news and we all go to the same public school system and we're not taught about divine tools and the quantum realm, the way the divine, the quantum, the kingdom of heaven works. And these principles are touted as woo-woo and they're just like pie in the sky type of things, but the truth is is that they do work. And you can keep your therefore statement and you can keep your therefore life. I'm going to live the wherefore life, wherefore I see this as the outcome that I want, therefore I get that one. You're living in the therefore that can't happen or therefore these type of things always happen to me, therefore I'm unlucky, therefore this is normal, therefore things always break, therefore we can't have nice things, so we don't have nice things. And so, in this process of living this best reality now and really we fight against like the default mode network, we fight against a lot of things and part of that is our learned experience and those therefore statements, it's like we have a belief, therefore something can't happen. And so, what's really important in the season of waking up these divine muscles, these divine principles, is assessing things. And one of the things that has really, really helped me and it was when I was really, I was in those peaceful states and you could call it a meditation state, I honestly, meditation is too formal, I just really have a peaceful state where I exist in the kingdom of heaven realm and I listen carefully for answers and I look for clues and I look for strategies that show up because when I'm in that peaceful quiet state, things often do show up and things often do manifest in that state and it's a really important state to get those clues. Oh my gosh, I have a huge sidetrack here. I've been waiting for some peptides I ordered and I keep hearing in the background what I think is the mail truck and I think for, I don't know, for gosh, it's maybe Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Monday, I'm not sure that we've had any mail and I'm not sure I heard the mail truck. So, as I'm here and I hear the dogs barking, I'm like, oh my gosh, is my package there? So, total sidetrack during the podcast and it is like causing Tom is like, okay, Tom, focus in here because this is a really important thing that we begin to address some of these belief systems and at least in my life, everything's up to fair game because it has to cut the mustard and I know for a long time in my life, I really, I had a really profound experience when I first met Jesus and I have to say it was powerful, it was emotional, it was very personal and immediately that was translated by those around me that I trusted and I don't know that they weren't trustworthy but they knew what they knew that translated into going to church and to, you know, reading the Bible and doing your devotions and kind of fell into instead of a very experiential relationship with Jesus, which how it very started out to into a relationship through scriptures and reading that was very controlled in that I can manipulate it and control it and, you know, I would read things in the Bible like we're going to do even greater things than Jesus and I was like, oh my heart just welled up and I knew that that was true and so I would do all the things that Christians say, it's like you got to have your devotions, you know, the really holy people have them in the mornings, you know, and then if you have them before six, then you're super holy, you know, if you have them before nine, you're so so holy, if you have it in the evenings, oh my gosh, I'm not sure what's going on, you may not even be a Christian and so I'm totally joking but there is this whole lifestyle that is built around Christianity and that if you don't see miracles, which in modern Christianity, we hardly see any for the amount of Christians there are, there are no viable miracles, it is crazy and so this season of my life, I've become very disillusioned, not with Jesus, because he is very real to me, I have very real experience with him, I know he's very genuine, the whole structure that was built around him that he didn't necessarily endorse or call for leads us to a whole different place and so I think Jesus' words are very true and I think he desires us to do greater things than he because he loves people and he wants more good and more love in the world, so he wants us out there doing those things and part of that and Jesus alluded to it in places, the kingdom of heaven is within you and then it says, be transformed through the renewing of your mind, it's like getting rid of some of those old thoughts and those things that hold you up, now one of the things I wanted to talk about before I got sidetracked is I started listening to near-death experiences, NDEs, and they are absolutely intriguing, the ones where people have a glimpse of heaven, the ones where people have a glimpse of hell, the ones that have some of both and have some other kind of imagery that's in there, but one of the things that is very obvious that when you listen to them, their experience is very translated or filtered through their belief system and that people who were raised in the church and are familiar with terminology of sin and shortcoming and bear this and their interaction with the near-death experience very much fits into that language that they sang the sinless God and the beauty of heaven and the one thing that's true through all the experiences is that God is awesome, God is loving, but is what's really interesting the people that didn't have that kind of background, any kind of background, because there's the opposite, people that have background in very cultish areas had a very unique experience filtered through their belief systems, but the people that were the most interesting to me is those that didn't and their experience across the board was that God was love and that God loved us and that God desired the best for us and that life without God was hell, it was the absence of his presence that God is so immense, so fulfilling, so satisfying, so satiating that hell is to know that and not have it and that those people that experienced hell, it was a loneliness beyond loneliness and it gives me some real insight in to when we talk about the divine and we kind of filter out all the man-made stuff there is that God really does want us to have a life of meaning and purpose and there is God, whatever you want to call him, really is relational, really cares about people, really wants to see the best for people and so that may be one of those like therefore things that you have that is like God is angry and he's a punishing God, you just need to get on to some near-death experience stories and listen to them, I think it will transform you listening to the variety of people but realizing the goodness that is there and that is something that was built and I don't know in your life through your parents example or how they translated church or religion or how the faith was practiced in the household but we just need to realize because it has been our experience doesn't mean that it is truth, we need to assess everything in our life so we don't get trapped into these belief systems that our brain wants to take because it takes our experiences and it looks at new things like a new future and it quickly assesses them and says that can't be because we have these inputs and these inputs don't allow that possibility what do we want more of we want that new best reality now we want that outcome and we want that possibility but if you have those statements that cause your brain to assess and go to that default answer that is going to be the answer and so it literally is going to be impossible for you to entertain something else you have to go back and you have to begin to do this groundwork and you may have to dig up some roots you may have planted some very large trees like truth beliefs that have roots or like trees and you've watered them and you've had some coincidences that have solidified them i'm not going to say that there weren't things that reinforced them but were they just coincidences or were the actual facts and truth that backed it up or were they just possibly some programming that was out there that came in and backed it up or was there a vision told because that's another thing we're all watching that little black box we're all being told a vision and i think for the most part that vision is tearing us away from our divine gifts our divine senses our divine abilities these are things that you have but they can be suppressed and one of the things if you can be convinced that you don't have that in your belief system through programming through being told a vision through channeling watching channels receiving channels tom it's a little borderline you better watch it i'm watching reinforcing things you don't have that you can't do that you can't change reality reality isn't fluid yeah this life is tough and that's it you suffer then you die life's a bitch not for this guy life is awesome you know what i'm saying you have to go and assess those beliefs are they are they the truth okay they may be accurate for your life situation because you've done some things and you said some words some spells and so as you've said some spells you've had some self-fulfilling prophecy come in and that has reinforced some false beliefs that are now deeply rooted truths in your life that prevent you from accessing the true divine tools and so you have to begin to interrupt them and so it is why on this podcast i share a lot of examples from my personal life because i'm not just walking into this easily i'm like you i'm walking into this and i'm i'm learning as i'm going you hear that as you listen to me i'm not giving you no falsehood or new bs i'm trying to be as genuine as i can with my examples and what i'm actually going through and the things that are coming and the new realities that are coming that are really cool and the ones that i'm struggling with the transition it is where that tool of metacognition is so critical you have to be able to look at yourself as an unbiased third person and realize wow you have some funky beliefs i know growing up for me and growing up in the household i did it was very different household than adrian my wife grew up in in my household when my friends came over and we had lots of good stuff my brother and i had snacks and you know we would often have goodies that my mom make but when our friends would come over my mom would put them away and we weren't supposed to tell our friends that we had them so we didn't have to share and so i grew up with some odd belief systems around like community and that there are separate communities and then my friends even though i really loved them and stuff we weren't allowed to share with them because we need to keep that for ourselves it was for us and we were special and we didn't want to share and some other things like there wasn't enough to go around and so some of my belief in moving even into this marriage not even into this new reality stuff but it plays into this new reality that in when you're living this best reality and now you have to believe there is so much abundance there is enough abundance for everybody nobody has to lack because one gets a lot all can get a lot but i have this statement that causes me to do a a therefore that i can't share there's there's not going to be enough or we just don't do that you know because they're they're less than or they're not us and there's some kind of difference and that plays into something around loving your neighbor as yourself and i really want to connect in this genuine way with my brothers and sisters and and bring life and meaning and purpose and share life and meaning and purpose but through my experience and my interactions in informative years and i honestly believe all the years are fairly formative and so something about those early years you know we have beliefs and and things that come in and so that through the years and continued action was reinforced again and again and so then there was a time that we shared and we had these cousins over they devoured everything we shared our video games they broke our video games and yes what happened after the fact instead of you know my parents saying wow was that a good time didn't we have a blast and instead of like maybe going out and getting more stuff and see what happens when we share see how that belief got reinforced could have totally turned that around i would rather share and have a little less than hoard it to myself and have more and that's not a sentiment i've always had i've had to develop this truth into my life this is not something i came by naturally adrian has come by it very naturally because that was part of her growing up and now hers was almost to the detriment and the other side that you know poverty and the lack of responsibility was a virtue and so you can go the other way but we don't need to talk about that it's more the belief system that my black wife believed that whatever you had the people around you or were sharing with and my belief was that i'm special i deserve this other people don't and i've had to because authentic tom as i search and i look and in those quiet times he loves people and he does want to share i don't want to be taken advantage of but i do want to share i want to share the bounty and i that's why i do this podcast is because i want to share with you the truth because i want you to have your best reality now i could keep this secret get it all figured out and then release some really expensive program that if you buy into this program for five thousand dollars i will give you the secrets of this program and i probably very well can do this because i am getting it figured out and i i think part of why i'm getting it figured out is because i'm willing to be multiple my my desire is not to get it figured out so i can have all kinds of cool things my desire is to live a life of meaning and purpose and part of that will be nice things and i want you to be alongside me enjoying all those nice things and living this amazing life of meaning and purpose and so we really need to go after some of those foundational belief systems that cause our brain to even bypass even to give us a moment and say no that's not what i want it's just like bing bing bing this is outcome based on the inputs that you've had previously through your experiences so we have to change those core beliefs and then when we change those core beliefs we need new experiences and so if you speaking a different vocabulary you're not saying the same spells that you did the same incantations incantations it's crazy it is in this last week it's crazy the things that i've heard people say and seen them come true so fast and they're like huh that's a coincidence yeah it's not a coincidence it's because not everybody's ready to hear that and if you say something like that you're just an ass and part of being a person of meaning and purpose is knowing when the words come out to their meaningful and effective just saying something isn't right saying it in the appropriate time and place is a gift and you can be a gift giver you just have to pay attention you have to focus in on a life of meaning and purpose you have to fall in love with people you have to develop your divine compassion that is compassion that comes from the kingdom of heaven the quantum realm for your fellow humans you're not in competition with them you're working towards a goal of meaning and purpose and some people have had a rougher starting place and their core belief system says other people are threatening they hurt me they take advantage of me takes a little more to reach those people sometimes it's harder and sometimes the season for that isn't right away so as bringing this podcast to conclusion as i always do i found this really simple principle and you've heard me do it time and time again if you just ask yourself it's like hey self hey tom what are those core belief systems that lead me to draw conclusions with therefore statements it's like okay because this and this therefore that can't be and if you ask yourself will you please reveal this to me and the things that are hindering me from living in this best reality now the answers will pop up you just have to be quiet and listen i've never had it fail to work and you're like tom it just doesn't work for me i think it has to do with just getting yourself quiet and not overthinking it you really probably the hardest thing about this process but once you get there you'll find it pretty easy it's just kind of clear your mind not empty it but clear it you know don't make presumptions don't kind of just tell your default mode network to take a break and just when something comes up don't overthink it just say how how is that because if you don't understand it the next question is how is it and that answer will begin to come to you because remember we're living in this kingdom of heaven this quantum realm this information realm that your divine has access to so when you ask a question it's like going into the cloud and asking the question but this cloud this quantum field this kingdom of heaven field has all the information and so when that answer comes back it's not a coincidence because all that information is out there you have just never access your divine muscle to access it whoa Tom whoa that's right that's a whoa statement should probably rewind and listen to that because that is amazing truth my friends i'm just gonna leave you with that hey i love you i appreciate you thank you for doing the hard work thank you for making the world a better place and as always go out there take some risks do something good because why i got you i do i got you oh yeah powerful truths in there today you will receive them take them to heart and let them set you free
